Pete Ham’s 1970s Ovation Deacon

This is Pete Ham’s Ovation Deacon. Serial number E 2282. The guitar is in the original case and was supplied to Pete Ham by the Ovation company (Kaman) in the early 1970s, along with an Ovation acoustic guitar. Pete used the guitar with Badfinger and can be seen with it while recording in Caribou Ranch Recording Studios. There is a poster for Sunn amplification, which Badfinger also endorsed, on which Pete can be seen with this Ovation Deacon. This comes with a letter from Pete’s brother John, who is pictured here holding the guitar.
