Yngwie Malmsteen’s Smashed & Signed Fender Stratocaster 2005

This is Yngwie Malmsteen’s Fender Stratocaster that he played for one song on Monday 30th May 2005, at the Carling Apollo Hammersmith (Hammersmith Odeon) in London England. After the song, Yngwie smashed the guitar until the neck came off and threw it into the crowd into the gentleman’s hands as he was in Row C (see ticket). (Unfortunately, the ticket and pick have been lost). Health and Safety in the UK have since stopped all guitars from being smashed on stage at concerts, so Yngwie can no longer smash guitars. It was later signed by Yngwie in Newcastle on July 14, 2008 before his show at the Carling Academy. This was done at a signing event at Guitar Guitar in Newcastle. The guitar is signed “Yngwie Malmsteen Play Loud!” Comes with a detailed letter from the original owner.
